Pastor Scott was born in Greenville, Mississippi but reared in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home with his three brothers.

Pastor Scott's mother was an incredible influence on him and he remembers vividly her praying in her room for her sons every morning and night. Because the witness was so great, one night during our family devotion time when he was just five years old, he trusted in Jesus as his Savior.

Being saved at such a young age has many challenges, but the witness of his parents helped him to understand and appreciate the Christian life and its requirements.

He married the love of his life, Tracey Carter Keith in September of 1984.

Pastor Scott's family includes his son Carter and wife Ashley, along with their two amazing children, Townes and Wylder Grace. Also included is his daughter Ashleigh and her husband Jared, along with their son Tate.

Pastor Scott was educated at Fruitland Baptist Bible College, Ambassador Bible College, and continues to study to "show himself approved". (2 Timothy 2:15)

Pastor Scott’s favorite verse is "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
